In case you weren’t able to visit the Nationwide distracted
driving demonstration held at the Capitol earlier this spring
in person, be sure to take a look at the pictures of the co-host
of the event Senator
Fuschillo along with Financial Services Superintendent
Benjamin Lawsky and NYIA’s own Ellen
Melchionni taking the distracted driving simulator for a spin.
A crumpled
car was also part of the exhibit. The car is a stark reminder
of the dangers of texting and driving as it was involved in an
accident that claimed the lives of two people because the driver
was texting while behind the wheel.
