With the support of the New York Insurance Association (NYIA), NYISF was
founded and incorporated as a separate charitable organization that remains
affiliated with NYIA and its over 125 year history of service to the industry.
The foundation is an enduring initiative that enables the insurance industry
to support the educational goals of students pursuing an insurance-related
degree through a New York college or university. The students enrolled in
these programs will be ready to take on leadership roles within the industry
and will be prepared to make meaningful contributions to the business of
insurance. Providing financial assistance to those interested in a career
in insurance or risk management only helps our cause. NYISF is an ideal
vehicle for the industry to demonstrate its support for educating the next
