PROPOSED RULE MAKING ACTIVITY

A proposed rule making activity regarding Rate Reduction for Commercial Motor Vehicles was published in the October 25, 2000 NYS Register.  The purpose is to provide incentives to commercial risk insureds to reduce risk levels to their commercial motor vehicles and receive a reduction in the applicable insurance premiums.  Section 2336(h) provides for rate reductions of commercial motor vehicle insurance premiums when such vehicles are equipped with factory installed auxiliary running lamps.
