A.8963-A Schimminger / S.4908-A Farley (Signed Chapter 536)
Amends the workers’ compensation law in relation to authorizing disclosure of workers’ compensation records to an insurer of health benefit plans for the purposes of determining eligibility of certain benefits. 

A.10398-A Grannis / S.6732-A Seward (Signed Chapter 482)
Increases the value of merchandise an insurer is permitted to give to a prospective insured as an inducement from $5 to $15. 

S.6679-A Seward / A.9614-A Grannis (Signed Chapter 507)

Amends the insurance law in relation to authorizing domestic life, property/casualty, reciprocal, mortgage guaranty, co-operative property/casualty a financial guaranty insurers to enter into replication transactions. 

S.6733-A Seward (Signed Chapter 509)
Amends the insurance law in relation to qualifications of persons employed by special investigations units.  Provides that in order to be employed as an investigator with special investigations units of insurance companies one must meet the following criteria: (a) possess an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field; (2) possess 5 years insurance claims investigation experience or professional investigation experience with law enforcement agencies; (3) posses 7 years of professional investigation experience involving economic or insurance related matters.  Authorized medical professionals would also be available to be employed by SIUs to evaluate medical related claims.
